ulmonary
rehabilitation is a medically supervised exercise program designed for patients
with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic bronchitis, emphysema,
pulmonary fibrosis, and other lung diseases. Our comprehensive program aims
to improve overall health by helping patients increase their exercise tolerance
and develop healthy behaviors. At Georgia Lung, these goals are achieved
through aerobic and strength training exercises, breathing exercises, symptom
management training with activity, and relaxation exercises. By monitoring
exercise in a controlled environment, we help patients develop an exercise
prescription that can be followed individually for the rest of their lives.
We also offer group and individual education sessions, which can help patients
understand their pulmonary diseases and make changes to their lifestyles.
